Embodied Presence
A Day-long Yoga and Meditation Retreat
with Jonathan Foust
Saturday, May 24th, 2008
9:30 – 5:00 PM at the Carderock Swim Club in Bethesda, MD*
In addition to weekly classes and trainings, every three months I offer a day-long retreat to reinforce, deepen and intensify the core practices that lead to freedom. Each retreat is grounded in the principles of mindfulness meditation and has a special theme or focus.
Whether you are new to yoga and meditation or a long-term practitioner, you're invited to renew your spirit in this day of practice with like-minded friends as we cultivate direct and spontaneous intimacy with the flow of life.
This retreat includes movement sequences supportive of seated meditation, body scan/ relaxations, instruction in sitting and walking meditation, talks and discussion.
Bring a journal, water bottle, yoga mat if you have one, an extra blanket or two and a cushion if you plan to sit on the floor for meditation. (Chairs are available.)
You might like to pack a lunch, though meals can be purchased nearby.
Registration Fee: Sponsor: $85, Mid: $75 or Base: $65. The Base offering of $65 covers direct expenses for this event, including support for the teacher.
Your payment at the two higher levels includes a tax-deductible donation (of $10 or $20) to the Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW). Your generosity enables IMCW to contribute to indirect costs, keep course fees low, and make scholarships available for persons who would otherwise be unable to attend retreats.
Pre-registration is requested. Make your check out to IMCW and send it to Jonathan Foust 70 River Birch Drive Great Falls, VA 22066. Please include your email address.
